I'm Back.

It has been a long, but fun week in Utah. I went to Utah to go deer hunting with the fam. Friday it started off kinda crazy when our cousin went missing in the mountains, but no worries he is fine. That afternoon we took the truck, trailer, and 2 four-wheelers out West were we ended up getting to flat tires at once. One of the truck and on the the camping trailer.

Saturday & Sunday we got up early and started deer hunting. We seen a lot of elk and wild horses. We seen does and we did see 4 bucks, but did not get a chance to shoot at them because they ran into the trees. Sunday afternoon we came home and went hunting elsewhere.

Monday-Wednesday we did the same thing, but we seen some wild turkeys. I actually got a buck. He wasn't very big, but at least I didn't get skunked like my sister! My mom, sister, nephew, and I went out to lunch at the Cancun (Mexican food) in Beaver. Also, my sister and I seen some Chuckers.

Thursday we were able to sleep in since the hunt was over. I also got my hair cut which is nice. I was able to visit with the family. Friday we left around 7:30 a.m. to get me back to the airport. We stopped in Mesquite, NV for breakfast. My mom put a dollar in a penny machine and ended up winning $50. Lucky her! My parents dropped me off at the airport and then when going through security my bag got stuck in the scanner. UGH! I finally found my gate at B1 next thing you know we were moved to A12 where we were going to be waiting an extra 30 mins. About five minutes later they moved us to A11. I hate the Vegas airport because they are always doing this. But I have to say the pilot made up for it we landed a minute earlier that expected and he was a great tour guide while up in the air. The best part was when we landed he said "remember SHIFT happens!"

Thanks to Jason and Ben for painting some of the house while I was gone. You two are great! Now today, I get to go help finish painting the rest and cleaning! Hope everybody else had a wonderful week!

Erin's Back Tomorrow!

I'm excited. Erin's coming back home tomorrow, FINALLY! This old guy is sick of taking care of our quickly-recovering cat!

Crazy Week

It's been a crazy week. My buddy Ben and I spent all weekend at the house getting various things taken care of. Since Erin has been hunting and not exactly within cell phone range since she went to Utah, I've probably talked to her for about 2 hours total since Thursday. It will be nice when she gets back.

Just bought a fridge yesterday that will be delivered on Wednesday. Got it for a total of $370 with delivery and installation from a scratch and dent shop. We're a bit away from needing to get anything really nice. We just want to be able to live there for a bit before we get radical on upgrades.

We also still need to save up for the roof replacement, which I hope we can get knocked out by the summer.

Pool rehab is fun too. I still need to go and get chlorine and the other stuff. At least the pool isn't green from sitting without the filter running for two weeks.

Anywho, Metallica concert is tonight, so I'm really excited about that one!

Quick News

Just so that ever body knows, Jason and I are officially home owners! We are very excited, but overwhelmed at the same time.

This starts the crazy week for myself. I'm leaving in an hour to go to the airport and fly to Las Vegas where my parents will pick me up. It is going to be fun camping and seeing the family. Best part is that I will be out there for a week and still getting paid at work. :) Got to love PTO.

Our house!

This is what our house looks like on Google Maps. The little shed in the back corner of the backyard is gone, and there's a bunch of trash still around, but just in case you wanted to check it out.

Why do people do the things they do?

So, today we did our last walk through on the house. The people left a lot of trash around. You think that people would have some respect and clean up after themselves. It is going to be a project before we can even move in. The carpets definitely need cleaning and on top of that the place needs a major paint job. Any Volunteers?

Going to the house and actually seeing it empty has made it hit. We are finally buying a house. It will be ours. We are so excited to get out of this apartment complex. It has been nothing but craziness for the last 2 years. Just the other day, for example, somebody kicked a big dent on Jason's car.

On a wonderful note, I only have 2 more days until I go to Utah for a week. I'm excited to go camping, and hope that the weather warms up enough so I won't totally freeze!

268

Made it through a week of working out, and dropped down to 268. Could be water weight, never know - but it is less than the last scale check.

We did pretty well this week. Worked out for about an hour during four different days.

Lucy is doing much better, and the house is about four days away from closing. We're still dealing with the last minute stuff. Crossing our fingers hoping it all works out.

Erin is getting excited for her hunting trip back home, and I have a conference to go to this week on top of covering a meet online in Durban, South Africa. That means getting up at 2 a.m. for a few days while Erin is gone. I'm also getting excited for Metallica next week! Me and a few buddies are going to the North American launch here in Arizona!

270

Everyone who knows us well, knows we actually did pretty well with dropping some weight about a year and a half ago. Problem is, we let ourselves fall off the wagon for awhile again.

We re-committed ourselves today and started back in the gym (and Metallica's new awesome album really helped life during cardio!).

I've decided to hold myself to a strong standard and keep my friends and family posted about it. Hopefully, I won't let anyone down again like I let myself down the past few months.

It hasn't been a complete loss. Dec. 26, 2006, I weighed 282 pounds. That's the biggest I've ever been. I dropped down to about 255 when I was at my best, but have fallen back to 270 as of today. I'll be posting weekly weigh ins as a motivator. Let's see how it goes.

Let the Stress Begin!

October is officially a crazy month. Jason and I have so much to do we don't know how we are going to accomplish it. To start it all off we are suppose to be closing on a house by the 16th. I am also leaving to Utah for a week on the 16th. Next, Jason has a conference the 15-17. Last but not least, both of our cars need to be renewed! UGH!

On a lighter note, Uce is doing a lot better. She is giving lots of love and is hanging out more. It also has been a nice day in Phoenix. It has been cloudy most of the day and has smelled like rain. I love the rain!

Yay!!!!

Lucy started eating and drinking on her own a bit this morning. Just talked to the vet, and they said it could still be like 2 weeks of force feeding ahead, but she's turning the corner!

It's been a crazy week so far.

Also, heard back that our appraisal for the house should be clean. Closing in less than two weeks. Going to be an intense month of October!

Tired

Uce is a 24 hr job. Jason and I are losing sleep, and my eyes are starting to have spasms and also having headaches. UGH! We love her to death so of course we are going to do anything for her. She has the fatty liver, and we will get results from a biopsy soon. She has puked for the first time yesterday and has done it a couple of times since.

We are still force feeding her high protein food along with new medications. On top of that, we now have an IV kit at home that we administer to her. I don't like having to poke a needle into her (Jason had to do it this morning for me), but it needs to be done so she can get hydrated. I hope she gets well soon and starts eating on her own. The Dr said she has a 60/40 chance.
